Your Team's Impact
The Benchmark and Indices team is seeking a skilled, data-driven Associate Data Product Manager to lead product development efforts while serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the domain. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical expertise, product management experience, and the ability to interpret and act on data-driven insights.
As an SME, you will serve as the go-to authority on product functionality, technical architecture, market trends, and customer use cases. You will play a critical role in shaping product direction by translating business and user needs into actionable product strategies.
The Associate Data Product Manager will be responsible for building strong cross-functional partnerships and communicating effectively across all levels of the organization. You will collaborate with all FactSet Business Units and work closely with key internal teams including Product Management, Engineering, Data, and Integration to guide the full product lifecycle from concept through launch and ongoing optimization. Throughout, you will use data to inform decisions, validate outcomes, and continuously drive product excellence.
What You'll Do
- Strong partners with Agile teams to ensure alignment to product goals and priorities.
- Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and post-release iteration
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for your product area, providing deep expertise to internal teams.
- Define and manage product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and design to develop innovative, technically sound solutions.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and translate complex technical information into clear business terms.
- Use analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python) to monitor product performance and derive actionable insights.
- You might need to collaborate to package and deliver product offerings through feeds, APIs, and cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS) to meet diverse client integration needs.
- Can establish connections with stakeholders and gather client feedback and determine necessary adjustments to backlog.
- Balance priorities between tactical outcomes and necessary strategic decisions to ensure business outcomes through collaboration.
- Understands bigger picture and how initiatives fit in with the overall Markets strategy.
- Identify and track dependencies within and outside of the Agile team.
- Influence Agile teams to collaborate and focus on delivering “shippable” products.
- Team player with a strong desire to learn about Content, Technology and Market Data
- Objective thinker who can work with the team to identify issues and risks and work to remove impediments.
- Strong communicator who can adjust the message depending on the audience and can provide clarity on progress at any point during the product lifecycle.
Required Skills
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, economics, or similar field
- 3–7 years of experience in product management, technical product development, or a similar role
- Ability to connect business goals with technical implementation and use data to validate assumptions and drive decisions.
- Strong understanding of product development methodologies and system architecture.
- Proven experience working as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within a specific domain or product category within the financial markets.
- Proficiency in data analysis, metrics tracking, and tools such as SQL and Python is preferred
- Experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake and AWS is a plus
- Excellent Technical product manager that can plan 2-3 steps ahead of the team and surface hidden risks 2-3 levels deep within the team.

- Has a strong track record of delivering valuable products on time.
- Strong product instincts with the ability to develop a compelling product vision, roadmap, and conduct competitive analysis are preferred
- Excellent analytical skills, and data driven approach to constantly analyze user feedback and analytics reports.
