About the Financial Controller Role at Financial Controller

F2 Finance is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our growing firm. Our firm operates a real estate lending platform focused on lending to property entrepreneurs in the residential 'fix & flip' market, and we run a fund marketed directly to accredited investors and RIAs. We also collaborate with two institutional investors providing additional lines of funding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evolve financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Collaborate to achieve financial goals and objectives.
  • Monitor financial performance and guide management decisions.
  • Oversee accounts, ledgers and ensure GAAP compliance.
  • Manage balance sheets, internal controls, and financial systems.
  • Regular reconciliation and reporting of loan-related transactions.
  • Account for payroll, benefits and work with external auditors.
  • Assist with NAV calculations, investor distributions, and reporting for the fund.
  • Lead system implementations and process optimization projects.

Experience & Skills

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a relevant professional accreditation (CPA), 7+ years of accounting experience preferably with funds management and real estate lending experience, proficiency in QuickBooks, and strong communication skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines is essential.
