The Front-End core team at ezCater, with whom you will primarily work, plays a pivotal role in improving, building, and ideating foundational tools for front-end experiences across our Engineering teams, primarily using React. Our team's software acts as the building blocks to compose rich, visually pleasing, and extensible experiences for our engineers and end-users. We prioritize high-quality work while fostering an enjoyable team environment.

What You'll Do as a Front End Engineering Intern

• Join a team focused on creating, improving, and shipping well-factored, well-tested, and fast components for our React applications.
• Build products utilizing Next.js / React, TypeScript (a strongly typed version of JavaScript), and test libraries such as Jest and Chromatic.
• Participate actively in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback for improvements.
• Engage in all team ceremonies including standups, scrum, retrospectives, and refinement sessions.
• Collaborate with our team of engineers to develop predominantly front-end focused features.
• Work alongside other engineering teams within ezCater to plan and execute on needed features and improvements.
• Enjoy building meaningful software in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What You Have

• A strong eagerness for learning, asking questions, and collaboration, coupled with a desire to consistently improve in the craft of software engineering.
• A friendly, flexible, curious, and pragmatic disposition.
• Required: Hands-on experience with React JS, demonstrating competency with the framework through projects.
• Required: Experience with fundamental aspects of front-end development, including markup (HTML), style (CSS/SASS), and JavaScript.
• Bonus points if you have experience with any or all of the following: TypeScript and TailwindCSS.
