Overview
The Technical Tax Desk Contractor role at EY is a contract position where you will answer tax questions and perform tax research for financial advisors. You will provide remote tax counseling and excellent customer service in a call center environment, while also engaging in tax planning, compliance, and administration research.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service via phone in a remote call center.
- Conduct remote tax counseling on retirement, education funding, and benefit plans.
- Research and provide accurate tax planning, compliance, and administration guidance.
- Explain and discuss 1099 forms and reporting cost basis clearly.
- Build trusted relationships with clients while strictly providing information (no product sales).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business (preferred but not required).
- 3 years of related financial planning experience is preferred; training provided.
- Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications such as CFP, EA, or CPA are a plus.
Additional Information
This role is remote with an in-office final interview requirement. The position pays $35 per hour, fixed and non-negotiable.
