Overview

The Technical Tax Desk Contractor role at EY is a fixed-term contract position focused on answering tax questions and performing tax research for financial advisors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service via phone in a remote call center environment.
  • Offer remote tax counseling on topics such as retirement planning, education funding, and benefit plans.
  • Serve as a knowledge resource on tax planning, compliance, and administration by conducting research.
  • Build trusted client relationships by delivering quality experiences without engaging in product sales.
  • Explain and discuss 1099 forms and reporting cost basis clearly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business preferred (not required).
  • Three years of related financial planning experience preferred; training provided.
  • Ability to clearly articulate financial planning concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Certifications such as CFP, EA or CPA considered a plus.

Additional Information
