Senior Digital Identity SME, Consulting at EY
At EY, we're dedicated to shaping your future with confidence within a globally connected network of diverse teams. Joining EY means contributing to a better working world and advancing your career wherever you envision it.
Overview of the Role
In today’s rapidly evolving IT landscape, organizations face increasingly complex cybersecurity risks and regulatory pressures. Identity—both human and non-human—is at the core of every enterprise. As a Senior Digital Identity SME, you will play a crucial role in helping clients enhance user experience, reduce risk, and increase operational efficiency. This is achieved by designing and implementing robust identity solutions, primarily leveraging technologies such as Microsoft Entra, Saviynt, and other related platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Assessment: Conduct current state assessments and perform capability maturity analyses. Develop comprehensive Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategies and roadmaps, encompassing operating models, governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Solution Design & Implementation: Architect and implement identity governance solutions using leading technologies like Microsoft Entra and Saviynt. Support the development of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) models, complex workflows, and efficient access certification campaigns.
- Application Integration & Lifecycle Management: Onboard applications and integrate them with various directories, HR systems, and cloud platforms. Implement and manage identity lifecycle processes, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Compliance: Collaborate effectively with client stakeholders to gather business, compliance, and technical requirements pertinent to identity governance. Prepare detailed documentation, reports, and presentations for diverse audiences. Facilitate workshops and conduct thorough assessments to ensure identity governance programs adhere to relevant regulatory standards such as SOX, HIPAA, and GDPR.
- Technical Expertise & Mentorship: Act as the primary escalation resource for advanced technical challenges during both deployment and ongoing operations. Mentor junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team.
- Business Development Support: Provide essential technical expertise for pre-sales and business development activities, including client engagements and responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs).
Skills & Attributes For Success
- Hands-on experience with Saviynt or Microsoft Entra configuration and implementation.
- Deep understanding of identity lifecycle management and access governance principles.
- Proficient knowledge of RBAC, ABAC, Segregation of Duties (SoD) policies, and various compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), directory services (AD, LDAP), and authentication protocols like SAML, SCIM, REST APIs, and JDBC.
- Basic scripting skills (Java, BeanShell, PowerShell) and API integration knowledge.
- Broader understanding of core IAM concepts: authentication, authorization, provisioning, federation, and privileged access management.
- Demonstrated experience with API integration and connector development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong process definition, workflow design, and process mapping skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 3–5 years of relevant work experience (or 2–3 years with a graduate degree).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra, Saviynt, and similar IAM solutions.
- Possession of relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Identity and Access Administrator, Saviynt Certified Professional, CISSP, or CISM.
