Job Description

About the Opportunity

EY is seeking a seasoned Program Director to lead a global mission to transform talent attraction and hiring. This role reports to the Talent Solutions Director and will spearhead the global deployment of SmartRecruiters technology, supported by a new operating model and processes. This initiative is crucial for redefining how EY attracts and hires talent, impacting over 100,000 hires annually, shaping the future workforce, and enhancing EY’s brand. You will drive a complex, enterprise-wide transformation, define strategic direction, align global stakeholders, and ensure successful execution of the SmartRecruiters deployment roadmap across regions and service lines, integrating with the broader Talent technology ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

You will partner with senior EY stakeholders in Talent, Technology, Risk, and Operations to design and implement a future-state recruiting ecosystem powered by SmartRecruiters. Your responsibilities include guiding EY through significant change, overseeing end-to-end program delivery, and facilitating shifts in processes, governance, technology adoption, and candidate experience. This high-visibility global initiative offers the chance to solve complex organizational challenges and deliver transformative outcomes for EY's global Talent Acquisition operations.

  • Serve as the Program Director and main point of contact for the EY global SmartRecruiters deployment, empowered for day-to-day program decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with the SmartRecruiters Project Manager and Implementation Consultants on scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and delivery strategy.
  • Lead and coordinate the program team, including global/regional Talent teams, Technology, and core project members, to ensure smooth execution and milestone delivery.
  • Build strong partnerships with senior stakeholders across Talent Attraction and Acquisition, Talent, and Talent Solutions Delivery.
  • Gain deep knowledge of EY’s operating model, Talent Acquisition processes, and global governance to manage risks, resolve issues, and enable decision-making.
  • Become an ambassador for how the SmartRecruiters deployment supports the Talent Attraction and Acquisition strategy.
  • Establish and maintain robust program governance, including executive steering forums, status reporting, risk/issue management, and escalation pathways.
  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication across EY stakeholder groups, ensuring transparency, alignment, and timely escalation.
  • Lead change management and adoption activities to prepare EY teams for new SmartRecruiters-enabled processes and ways of working.
  • Oversee EY readiness for critical deployment phases: configuration validation, testing, training, cutover, and go-live.
  • Track program progress, dependencies, and outcomes to ensure the SmartRecruiters deployment meets strategic objectives and business value expectations.

Skills and Attributes for Success

  • Proven track record leading HR technology implementations in large, multinational organizations; SmartRecruiters experience is a plus.
  • Strong background in program and portfolio management, with demonstrated success in large-scale, global Talent Acquisition or HR technology transformations.
  • Effective communicator capable of translating complex program information into clear messages for executive, technical, and operational audiences.
  • Impactful influencer and negotiator, building trust and alignment across diverse stakeholders in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Strong ability to drive outcomes, maintain momentum, and manage risk, dependencies, and ambiguity in global programs.
  • Solid understanding of Talent Acquisition processes and HR technology ecosystems, including process standardization, governance, and adoption.
  • Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
