The opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Manager to lead and participate in global HR Mergers and Acquisitions, Divestitures and Spins - HR operational, organizational alignment and employee experience support from early due diligence analysis through to project planning, execution and Day 1 go live. Skillsets and work would involve producing HR due diligence reports (both buy-side and sell-side), integration and separation plans, managing and executing project management across HR workstreams, helping define future state employee governance and structures, and enabling employee communications and experience through the transactions.

- Lead and deliver quality client service on multiple M&A projects.
- Provide flexible and innovative HR solutions and balance multiple priorities.

- Identify follow-on engagement opportunities and develop lasting relationships with clients.
- Demonstrate relevant technical skills in understanding M&A transactions, HR operations design and delivery, and data analytics.

- Experience with HR aspects of mergers/acquisitions and HR due diligence.
- Experience through the full life cycle of an acquisition, divestiture or spin.
- Contribute to client satisfaction by providing timely and effective responses.
- Take a practical approach to solving issues and gaining client agreement.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams ensuring quality and timely deliverables.
- Contribute to business development and client pursuit activities.
- Incorporate and be open to learning new applications of evolving technology into daily workflow including tools such as Microsoft Co-Pilot, agentic AI, and LLM modules to support data analysis, deliverable development and challenge traditional approaches.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field of business, human resources or psychology.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience.
- Relevant experience through one of the following: Professional services role with a global management consultancy firm or niche consultancy, or related line role in industry, in which you gained exposure to a large-scale project(s).
- Expertise in automation opportunity assessment and prioritization.
- Strategic thinking with a digital strategy focus.
- Awareness of HR compliance and regulation.
- Willingness to travel as needed, and comfortable working in a hybrid environment with an average of three (3) days per week at a client site or within an EY office.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience in process optimization and HR technology implementation.
- Experience leading and delivering HR Transformation engagements, including strategy, process evaluation, process improvement and risk mediation, design of HR system delivery options and/or HR IT strategy.
- Experience in one or more areas of: reward, benefits, compensation, or talent.
- A proactive approach to sustainability and hybrid collaboration.
- Learning agility and the ability to drive outcomes.
- HR Certification.

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $125,900 to $231,100. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $151,200 to $262,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
