Position Overview

The Data Protection and Privacy Assistant Director role supports Risk Management initiatives by managing and mitigating risks associated with data protection. In this role, you will develop and implement strategies to handle confidential information, investigate data incidents, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulatory standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage the firm’s confidential and personal information inventory.
• Handle data subject rights and internal data access requests in accordance with legal requirements.
• Investigate data incidents and collaborate with internal functions for remediation.
• Coordinate with Legal, IT, and executive leadership on risk management efforts.
• Develop and execute strategies to enhance the Data Risk Management function.
• Track and analyze changes in data protection laws and update internal policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement controls such as data loss prevention.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven project management and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to investigate incidents and assess risk impact.
• Experience with data protection technologies and incident management.
• Experience in interfacing with executive leadership.
• Bachelor's degree required; Graduate degree preferred.
• 4-6+ years of relevant experience required.
