You will be part of the Risk Management team providing coordinated advice and assistance on risk related to confidential, personal data, ethics and compliance.
The Opportunity
In a fast-paced, increasingly connected world, your role will focus on identifying risks and opportunities in data management. You will lead strategic decisions on risk management, coordinate initiatives, and work cross-functionally with Legal, IT, Investigations, and Executive Leadership to safeguard data assets.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage the firm’s confidential and personal information inventory.
- Handle data subject rights (DSR) and internal access requests.
- Investigate and document data incidents including loss and theft.
- Collaborate with Information Security to design data protection controls.
- Develop and execute strategies for enhancing the Data Protection program.
- Coordinate and report Data Protection activities to key stakeholders.
Skills And Attributes For Success
The ideal candidate is a clear communicator with strong project management, investigative, and leadership skills. You should be comfortable interfacing with all EY levels, possess a solid understanding of data protection laws and regulatory requirements, and have a strong technological foundation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; Graduate degree preferred. 4-6+ years of related experience is needed. Certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, or CDPSE are a plus.
