Job Summary

This role involves creating and maintaining hardened VM images in AWS and Azure environments. The ideal candidate has strong CI/CD pipeline deployment skills, proficiency in Python, PowerShell, and Bash, and experience with Azure DevOps, Ansible, Terraform, and Packer.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain secure VM images via automation and scripting.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment and management.
• Design and execute end-to-end automation workflows for image creation.
• Create and manage runbooks, hardening guides, and architecture diagrams.
• Conduct OS hardening across various operating systems including RHEL, Rocky, OEL, Amazon Linux, Ubuntu, and Windows.
• Debug pipeline errors, OS issues, and service deployments.
• Build automated patching mechanisms for Linux and Windows images.
• Apply CIS L1/L2 frameworks to detect and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Support audits and compliance reviews with documentation and remediation strategies.
• Collaborate with cloud infrastructure, architecture, and security teams.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of IT experience.
• 3+ years specializing in image hardening.
• 2+ years of application development in Python.
• Experience with Terraform and other programming languages.
• 3-5 years managing and securing multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
