The Opportunity to become an Associate Data Analyst at EY
As an Associate Data Analyst at EY, you will join a multidisciplinary team focused on collecting, combining, and exploring data. Your work will generate crucial insights to support client decision-making processes within accounting, finance, governance, and regulatory domains. You will also drive automation to create efficiencies in data solutions.
This is a hybrid position based in our Warrang – Sydney office, with potential for flexible work arrangements and reduced hours. We encourage discussion about options.
Your Key Responsibilities as an Associate Data Analyst
Your primary focus will be delivering exceptional data analytics solutions to clients. You will serve as a key contact for designing, building, and understanding complex data analytics, providing answers to diverse colleagues and clients.
As you gain knowledge and experience, you will evolve into a credible advisor, influencing clients and engagement teams on resolutions for future analytics solutions, delivery, and processes. In this role, you will:
- Consistently deliver exceptional client service solutions, providing greater insight into data and demonstrating the value of data analytics to organizations.
- Transform service delivery by exploring new business methods and leveraging technology for improved effectiveness and efficiency.
- Actively solve problems by performing advanced financial analysis and reporting in complex business areas, while continuously building technical competence.
- Develop strong business acumen and confidence in designing solutions that address client inquiries and emerging issues, including industry practices and new technologies.
Skills And Attributes For Success
EY is looking for individuals with a strong aptitude and willingness to learn. Ideal candidates will possess:
- Tertiary education qualification(s) in Business, IT, or STEM-related disciplines.
- One to two years of experience in a data and analytics role, or similar.
- Advanced proficiency in Programming, Analytics, and Data Visualisation.
While not all attributes are mandatory, experience with the following will be highly beneficial:
- Excellent communication skills, an innovative mindset, and an understanding of a professional working environment.
- Experience with three or more data analysis tools, including but not limited to SQL, Python, JavaScript, Power BI/DAX, and Tabular Editor.
- Proven ability to develop data visualization dashboards for communicating anomalies, patterns, and trends using structured and unstructured data sources.
- Background in cloud computing platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
