About the role
Director of Strategy and Business Development
At EXTEND, we are looking for an individual to take on the role of DIRECTOR OF STRATEGY AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT.
Our client is a pioneering Galician company in the digitalization of the waste value chain. Their purpose is to simplify waste control, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote sustainable businesses. They collaborate with the entire value chain, from waste management SMEs to large corporations with national and international presence. Reporting to the General Management and as part of the Management Committee, you will participate in building the strategy and shaping the future of the company. You will be responsible for:
- Leading the growth of the business model
- Professionalizing the sales process, transforming it into a consultative sales process
- Defining and executing entry into new markets, prioritizing countries and sectors based on profitability and potential criteria
- Leading and transforming a multidisciplinary team into a high-performance sales group
- Collaborating with other areas to ensure sustainable growth
- Managing key metrics to achieve a balance between growth and profitability
We are looking for someone with:
- University Degree
- Experience opening international markets
- B2B SaaS experience. Demonstrable track record scaling technology companies
- Experience in long sales cycles, with multiple stakeholders and compliance requirements in large enterprises
- Analytical skills to translate strategy into indicators and make decisions
- Human leadership with an objective-oriented approach
- Experience creating, developing, and/or professionalizing sales teams
- Fluent English. Knowledge of other languages will be valued
- Availability to travel
- Hybrid model with residence in Galicia
