About the Role: Vulnerability Assessment Analyst and Penetration Tester

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and security sector, is seeking a dedicated Vulnerability Assessment Analyst and Penetration Tester to join their dynamic team. As a Vulnerability Assessment Analyst and Penetration Tester, you will be an integral part of the Security Operations Department supporting cybersecurity initiatives and vulnerability management efforts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate analytical thinking, proactive problem-solving, and strong communication skills, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Remote

Pay Range: Fair Market Rate

What You'll Do

  • Support in technical vulnerability assessments of applications and infrastructure, including vulnerability research and report generation.
  • Execute network, application, and cloud penetration tests under established rules of engagement, utilizing manual techniques and AI-based tooling.
  • Assist in developing and following test and evaluation plans to compare current and proposed technologies.
  • Coordinate technical tests, network scans, and vulnerability scans to evaluate information safeguard effectiveness.
  • Analyze scan results, identify exploitable vulnerabilities, and verify findings to support remediation efforts.

What's Needed?

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
  • Associate's Degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Experience with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) tools for vulnerability assessments.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive technical reports and communicate findings effectively.
