At Experian, you will simplify the use and integration of Experian's products by creating valuable content for both developers and everyday users, ensuring our documentation reflects the highest quality and fosters trust. Our goal is to provide our users with easy-to-use content that enhances their experience and accelerates their success with our platform. You'll help shape and scale our documentation, creating engaging and informative content for developers using our APIs and platform. You'll ensure our technical content drives developer efficiency and lowers cognitive load, while maintaining clarity, accuracy, and consistency. You will report into the Lead Product Manager of Platform Experience.What You Will Do
- Work with engineering and product teams to create documentation for new product features, API updates, and integrations.
- Develop long-term content strategies that organize and make documentation easily discoverable for developers.
- Ensure content accuracy and clarity by conducting regular content reviews and maintaining high documentation standards.
- Work with engineering, product, customer support, and other partners to ensure technical content meets the needs of users and developers.
- Establish writing best practices for internal and external documentation to ensure consistency and usability.
- Identify areas for improvement in existing content and processes and implement enhancements to improve documentation workflows.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Technical Writing, especially within B2B SaaS environments.
- Experience translating complex concepts into concise documentation.
- Expertise in API documentation and an understanding of software development processes.
- Proficiency with tools such as Markdown, Git, and JIRA.
- Experience with modern development workflows and an ability to work within a "docs-as-code" environment.
- Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
- Comfortable collaborating with technical teams, including developers, engineers, and product managers.
- Experience writing about one or more backend languages like Ruby, Go, Python, PHP, Node, or Java is valuable.
- The ability to read front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with documentation generation tools and automation, and experience using AI tools to help identify changes, drift, and errors in documentation.
- An understanding of user experience principles, content design, and accessibility in technical writing.
- Experience with large-scale information architecture projects.
- Experience learning new technologies and documenting the latest software products.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, with the base pay range for this position being $89,865 - $155,767. Individual pay is determined by work location and other factors like skills, experience, and education. This position is also eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package.
