About the role
Product Owner Payments
Experian Health is seeking a Product Owner to support its revenue cycle payment products. You will report to the Product Leadership team and play a crucial role in driving innovation and improvement for our payment solutions.
Responsibilities
- Champion incremental innovation and product improvement based on vision and roadmap.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and cross-functional teams (development, QA, UX/UI) to manage and report on product release impacts.
- Assist Product Managers in securing internal governance approvals and funding for new capabilities.
- Work with Development, Implementation, and Support on backlog management, balancing features, support, and technical debt.
- Lead prioritization of the self-pay, payment gateway, and billing backlog to maximize business value.
- Shape a scalable, API-driven payment architecture with a focus on security and compliance (HIPAA/PCI).
- Ensure a shared understanding of scope, priorities, and Definition of Ready/Done.
- Translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
- Support product launches and gather user feedback for continuous improvement.
- Ensure product features comply with healthcare regulations like HIPAA.
- Utilize SQL for data exploration, hypothesis validation, and analytical workflows.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a Product Owner role.
- 2+ years of experience with healthcare technology or SaaS platforms.
- 2+ years of experience with payments technology.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
- Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
