Internship Program Overview

Your Role as Security Engineering Intern

In this role, you will utilize your technical skills in an agile environment to develop scalable solutions and innovate across Expedia Group's web applications and e-commerce sites. You will:

  • Work on designing and implementing security solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with your team, manager and mentor.
  • Utilize common developer tools like GitHub and IDEs.
  • Learn and apply software engineering fundamentals such as algorithms, design principles and OOP concepts.
  • Interact using work-approved tools like Slack, email, and Excel.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must commit to the internship dates (May 18 - July 24, 2026 or June 22 - August 28, 2026), be graduating with a degree in a technical subject between December 2026 and July 2027, have no more than 2 years of professional experience, and be willing to relocate if necessary.

Preferred Experience

Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (Java, C/C++, Python, C#) is helpful along with knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and OOP concepts. Effective communication skills are a plus.
