About the Data Entry Assistant

The Data Entry Assistant will serve as an administrative support for field care teams ensuring completeness and accuracy of medical records. The role involves reviewing medical records for accuracy, coding clinical data using standard classification systems and managing record transmissions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure review, transmission and storage of patient information comply with privacy policies and HIPAA.
  • Verify and process requests for medical charts accurately for care, quality review, and audits.
  • Scan and index medical records accurately.
  • Manage inbound/outbound communications professionally.
  • Enter, review, and verify member and provider details in the care management platform.
  • Perform administrative duties related to patient and provider care plan delivery.
  • Collaborate with care teams on admission and discharge statuses.
  • Obtain and manage medical records from various providers.
  • Establish supportive relationships with providers and patients.
  • Attend meetings and perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • One year of medical records experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills including electronic health records management.
  • Strong data entry and advanced organization skills.
  • Excellent time management and Microsoft Office proficiency.
