About The Client

A leading health and fitness software and payment processing provider operating in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Mexico since 1981, serving 7,000+ health clubs with integrated gym management solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead migration from Azure Synapse to Databricks ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Design and implement robust data architecture solutions including data loads, data marts, and consumption layers.
  • Define architecture standards, enforce data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and storage optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-performance data solutions.
  • Optimize data pipelines and maintain data quality frameworks with testing.
  • Mentor engineering teams and guide architectural decisions.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years in data engineering and cloud-based platforms.
  • Proven experience with Databricks and enterprise-grade lakehouse architectures.
  • Strong skills in Python, PySpark, SQL, and data modeling.
  • Expertise in data governance, security, compliance, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM environments and mentoring teams.
