Position Overview
The Clinical Genomics Review Specialist at Exact Sciences collaborates cross-functionally to support clinical genetic curation, health information management, and business initiatives. This individual contributor role is responsible for translating clinical information to phenotype ontology for genomic testing and curates multi-gene panels based on published literature and professional guidelines. This position supports laboratory functions of PreventionGenetics, part of Exact Sciences, and offers flexibility with remote or onsite work from Marshfield, WI.
Essential Duties
- Support high-quality clinical curation of our databases, test menu, and multi-gene panels in accordance with professional guidelines.
- Collaborate with client-facing and laboratory teams to maintain effective clinical information streams, including the company website, test ordering portals, test requisition forms, clinical reports and electronic health record integrations.
- Support phenotype-driven testing products by abstracting clinical information as an individual contributor.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on ethical considerations in genetic testing, including informed consent, privacy, data sharing, incidental findings, and equity in access to genomic services, and help develop related laboratory policies and practices.
- Collaborate with molecular geneticists and other departments to provide high quality, timely test results and to achieve other organizational goals and objectives.
- Support content creation of reports, publications, and training materials. Provide insight into the clinical utility of genetic testing and educational formats to improve patient outcomes.
- Contribute to design, research, review and writing of department procedures.
- Ensure and monitor compliance with CLIA and CAP regulations, including Ethical Legal and Social Implication considerations.
- Support company initiatives and projects as team representative and company champion.

- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
- Ability to work designated schedule, including nights and/or weekends (as needed).
- Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 100% of a typical working day.
- Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, which may include overnight/weekend travel.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree Genetic Counseling
- ABGC/CCGC Board Certified or eligible
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the country where work will be performed on a full or part-time basis. Exact Sciences is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time.
