What You’ll Be Doing
Senior Architect Healthcare Integration - EMR/FHIR Specialist
- Drive healthcare transformation through innovative technology.
- Architect enterprise-level EMR integration using FHIR and interoperability standards.
- Create technical specifications supporting clinical evidence alignment.
- Lead API design ensuring seamless healthcare data exchange.
- Design systems for population health management and care coordination.
Lead Technical Excellence
- Provide architectural guidance on FHIR best practices.
- Establish coding standards for scalability and maintainability.
- Mentor engineering teams and foster continuous learning.
- Collaborate with clinical, product, and business teams.
- Design HIPAA compliant integration architectures.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in healthcare software development and integration.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with HL7 FHIR (R4 preferred).
- Expert in healthcare standards: HL7 V2, CDA, DICOM, X12.
- Experience integrating with Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, and athenahealth.
- Proficiency in REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and messaging protocols.
- Skilled in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP.
- Advanced programming in Java, C#, Python, or similar.
- Expertise with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Proven leadership in technical teams and integration projects.
- FHIR certification and experience with SMART on FHIR, CDS Hooks is preferred.
- Understanding of value-based care models and healthcare analytics.
Healthcare Domain Knowledge
- Deep understanding of clinical workflows and value-based care.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA, HITECH, etc.).
- Familiarity with clinical terminologies such as SNOMED CT, ICD-10.
- Awareness of healthcare interoperability initiatives (TEFCA, DaVinci Project).
Collaborative Leadership
- Excellent communication aligning technical solutions with clinical objectives.
- Experience in Agile environments with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving focused on patient outcomes.
Additional Process & Requirements
- Comprehensive identity verification and background checks during hiring.
- High speed home internet (10 Mbps+) is required.
- Drug screening and onsite I-9 verification may be necessary.
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range is $88,300 - 167,800 with bonus potential and comprehensive benefits including health insurance.
