About the Role

The Sales Counselor position sells pre-need and at-need funeral services, inventory, cemetery services, property, and merchandise. The role involves assisting families with funeral selections and attending services. Leads are generated through walk-ins, inbound calls, and proactive prospecting.

Training is provided at $18.00 per hour for 6 weeks, and there is an uncapped commission structure. Estimated first-year earnings range from $60,000 to $90,000.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with additional education preferred
  • 1 year of sales experience is preferred
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Outlook)
  • Experience working with a CRM system is a plus
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • Availability to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends
