Position Overview
Eversource Energy is seeking an Associate Scheduler and Planner to assist in planning and scheduling work assignments for Construction and Maintenance departments. The role involves developing short and long-term plans, project schedules, and maintenance schedules using tools like Primavera, Click Schedule, and Maximo.
Role & Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule daily work assignments for Construction and Maintenance.
- Develop work-plans that meet customer and compliance deadlines.
- Create daily and weekly work schedules to optimize crew productivity.
- Coordinate weekly planning meetings and communicate work plans.
- Utilize scheduling software to prepare construction and maintenance schedules.
- Liaise with local municipal officials and resolve customer issues.
- Monitor work progress and adjust schedules as needed.
Technical Knowledge and Skills
Proficiency in database systems, reporting tools, and workload planning is essential. The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical skills, effective verbal and written communication, and competency in PC desktop applications including Microsoft Office and specialized scheduling software.
Education & Experience
An applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, related discipline or equivalent experience with 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience. Knowledge of Electric Operations is preferred.
Working Conditions
The position is primarily office-based with periodic visits to job sites and municipalities. Candidates must be flexible to work up to five days in the office if needed and may be assigned emergency restoration duties.
