About the Role of CTO

In a rapidly transforming financial services sector in Brazil, marked by digitalization and the constant pursuit of efficiency, our client stands out by building a credit operating system. Amidst sustainable growth and the modernization of its digital infrastructure, they seek a new CTO to lead the technological and strategic evolution of the operation, contributing to building a more inclusive economy and empowering each client through innovative solutions.

As CTO, you will be the main guardian of technical excellence and scalability of the company's digital ecosystem. Your mission will be to translate the business vision into robust architectures, leading software engineering with a focus on automation, technical feasibility analysis, and artificial intelligence integration, ensuring that the platform supports exponential growth with high performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technological strategy and system architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability of the financial platform;
• Act as a technical right-hand to the board, validating the technological viability and the ROI of new functionalities and strategic products;
• Disseminate and ensure a rigorous quality culture, establishing guidelines for automated testing and continuous integration throughout the development cycle;
• Oversee data modeling and business rule architecture, utilizing approaches like Clean Architecture to support flexible and complex engines;
• Promote the operational efficiency of engineering through the adoption of AI-native practices and state-of-the-art tools for code acceleration;
• Manage the application lifecycle using modern backend and frontend technologies, ensuring high-fidelity interfaces and complex states;
• Establish technical governance and information security processes, aligning development with best practices for compliance and data protection.

Requirements

• Solid background in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science, with mastery in logic, discrete mathematics, and Clean Architecture for testable systems;
• Advanced experience in backend development with Node.js, TypeScript, and Python, as well as frontend in Next.js (React) with a focus on managing complex states and UX/UI;
• Proficiency in data engineering and infrastructure, covering PostgreSQL (dynamic schemas), GraphQL/WebSockets protocols, in addition to experience with Azure, Docker, and RabbitMQ;
• Solid experience in technical management and productivity culture, using tools like Jira, GitHub Actions, Grafana, and AI-Native development practices (LLMs, Cursor, Rovo).
• Availability to work in a fully remote regime.
