As a key member of our growing M&A team, you’ll play an essential role in identifying and evaluating acquisition opportunities across Europe’s vertical software landscape, with a specific focus on the Portuguese market. This position offers a unique chance to gain end-to-end exposure to the investment process — from sourcing and valuation to due diligence and deal execution — while actively shaping the future of our ecosystem. It’s a dynamic, hands-on role for someone eager to grow quickly, take ownership, and contribute to building the next generation of leading software companies.What You Will Do
- Identify and connect with vertical software businesses across diverse sectors.
- Initiate and maintain outreach and communication with potential targets, their owners, and stakeholders.
- Collect and analyse data from various sources to effectively assess potential targets (incl. proper management of all CRM processes).
- Prepare valuations (incl. full financial model) and conduct comprehensive analyses during the origination and due diligence processes.
- Develop/revise marketing and transaction materials, as well as documentation for investment committee purposes.
- Represent Everfield in meetings with CEOs and at trade shows/conferences, with frequent travel.
- Demonstrate the capability and eagerness to manage the entire due diligence process in the future, gaining exposure to all aspects.
- Ensure all company information, calls, outreach activity is consistently and with high-quality saved in the CRM.
- Build strong relationships with CEOs, investment bankers, and industry veterans to facilitate connections with target companies.
- Lead and manage specific workstreams within the due diligence process.
- Enhance processes as the platform expands, continually refining the origination playbook as you gain experience.
What We Are Looking For
Ideally you will already have between 4-6 years of experience in M&A. Fluent spoken and written ability in both English and Portuguese (Spanish would also be a huge plus).Competencies
