Overview
Evercore is seeking an Experienced Analyst for its Strategic, Defense and Shareholder Advisory team located in New York, NY. The role focuses on shareholder activism, raid defense, corporate governance, and investor relations.
Primary Responsibilities
The Analyst will provide value-add analysis and research by creating client presentations on shareholder engagement, corporate governance, sustainability practices and by tracking trends and best practices.
- Create and deliver client presentations.
- Conduct research and analysis on corporate governance and shareholder dynamics.
- Support projects in shareholder engagement and sustainability initiatives.
- Work collaboratively within Evercore’s Activism and Raid Defense practice.
Specific Qualifications
- 1 year or less of relevant work experience; junior analysts preferred.
- Ambitious, self-directed, creative, entrepreneurial and resourceful.
- Strong multi-tasking and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and calm under pressure.
- Intellectual curiosity and a keen interest in finance and corporate governance.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range is $120,000 to $140,000 with eligibility for a discretionary bonus, cash and/or deferred equity rewards. Evercore offers a competitive range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid leave, commuter benefits, and wellness programs.
