Position Overview
Evercore is seeking an experienced Core Regulatory Compliance Analyst to join its team in New York, NY. Reporting to the Vice President, this individual will be part of a team of 4-6, contributing to a premier independent investment banking advisory firm with approximately 2,400 global employees. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, possesses a strong work ethic, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with a focus on client service, problem-solving, and proactive issue resolution.
Primary Responsibilities
The Core Compliance team is central to navigating the highly regulated financial services industry. Key responsibilities for the Core Regulatory Compliance Analyst will include:
- Assisting with the onboarding process for new employees.
- Managing registrations for various regulatory bodies.
- Coordinating and scheduling regulatory examinations.
- Maintaining and monitoring regulatory requirements for registered representatives.
Specific Qualifications
- B.A. degree required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in Compliance.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies, trends, and compliance risks effectively.
- Proven project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously in a demanding environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to develop actionable solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, interacting effectively with employees at all levels.
- High ethical standards, sound judgment, and a commitment to confidentiality and integrity in all compliance matters.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with compliance management-related software is a plus.
Work Hours
The standard hours are 9:00am – 6:00pm, with flexibility to start earlier or work later as needed to meet business demands.
