The Team
We are a passionate and hardworking team of approximately 75 people. Our founding team brings extensive entrepreneurial experience, having built and scaled web products from inception to IPO. The Role: AI Legal Specialist
EverAI is seeking a motivated AI Legal Specialist to join our Compliance Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise at the intersection of AI and e-commerce regulation. You will own legal and compliance workflows, working closely with our Ethics and Compliance Officer (ECO).
Key Responsibilities
- Own compliance with worldwide laws applicable to AI and e-commerce platforms.
- Manage contracts and assessments required under data protection law, including GDPR (DPAs, TIAs).
- Prepare and maintain essential compliance documentation, such as internal documentation for data protection, AI governance, and consumer rights.
- Maintain EverAI’s AI systems inventory in line with EU guidance.
- Conduct risk assessments under applicable safety laws.
- Perform product and feature reviews for compliance with consumer rights and data protection.
- Handle day-to-day compliance tasks, including standard IP issues (DMCA notices) and contract reviews (NDAs, licenses).
- Update legal terms, including Terms of Service, Privacy Notices, and content policies.
- Track, research, and analyze legal developments relevant to EverAI’s operations.
- Receive guidance and engage in regular check-ins with the Ethics & Compliance Officer.

Your Qualifications
Hard Skills
- Legal education (Masters of Law, Juris Doctor, or recognized legal certification).
- 2-6 years of experience as legal counsel or in similar roles.
- At least 2 years of experience with contracts and data protection law, including familiarity with Data Protection Agreements and Transfer Impact Assessments.
- Ability to simplify complex legal concepts into clear language.
- A demonstrated interest in AI.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills (perfectly fluent in English).
- Goal-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and commitment.
- Doer mindset, balancing execution, planning, and strategy in a fast-paced environment.
- Humble and open to learning and feedback.
- Comfortable with reviewing and discussing NSFW material.
Bonus Points
- Full certification as an attorney/legal counsel.
- Previous experience in AI compliance.
- Fluency in additional languages.
