Our Team

The Role

EverAI is seeking a motivated Compliance Specialist with a strong interest in technology and AI to join our Compliance Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop legal expertise at the forefront of AI and e-commerce regulation. Working closely with our Ethics and Compliance Officer (ECO), you will own legal and compliance-related workflows and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Owning worldwide compliance with laws applicable to AI and e-commerce platforms.
• Managing contracts and assessments required under data protection law, including GDPR (DPAs, TIAs, etc.).
• Preparing and maintaining essential compliance documentation, such as internal documentation for data protection, AI Governance, and consumer rights.
• Maintaining EverAI’s AI systems inventory in line with EU guidance.
• Conducting risk assessments under applicable safety laws.
• Performing product and feature reviews for compliance with consumer rights and data protection laws.
• Handling day-to-day compliance tasks including Standard IP issues (DMCA notices, copycats), contract reviews (NDAs, licenses), and legal terms updates (TOS, Privacy Notices, content policies).
• Tracking, researching, and analyzing relevant legal developments and their application to EverAI.
• Receiving guidance and regular check-ins from our Ethics & Compliance Officer, a US lawyer with 10+ years of experience.

Note: This role requires comfort with reviewing and discussing uncensored AI-generated content, including NSFW material, as part of platform testing and understanding.

Your Qualifications

Hard Skills

• Legal education (e.g., Masters of Law, Juris Doctor, recognized legal certification).
• 2-6 years of experience as legal counsel or in similar positions, with at least 2 years focused on contracts and data protection law.
• Experience with Data Protection Agreements and Transfer Impact Assessments.
• Experience contacting vendors regarding contract issues.
• Ability to simplify complex legal concepts into clear language.
• Demonstrated interest in AI.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and collaboration skills (fluent in English).
• Goal-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and commitment.
• Doer mindset, balancing execution, planning, and strategy in a fast-paced environment.
• Humble and open to learning and feedback.
• Comfortable reviewing and discussing NSFW content.

Bonus Points

• Full certification as an attorney/legal counsel.
• Previous experience in AI compliance.
• Fluency in additional languages.
