Role Overview: Design Manager

In this true player-coach role, you will lead a small team of embedded product designers while engaging hands-on with high-impact projects. Split your time between mentoring your team and driving strategic design initiatives in close collaboration with engineering, product, and AI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of 2–4 product designers.
  • Drive hiring and talent development for the design team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and data teams.
  • Own critical projects that contribute to business goals.
  • Champion design excellence with a user-centered approach.

What We Look For

  • 8+ years in software product design with 2+ years managing designers.
  • Proven experience designing impactful B2B workflow tools.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and clarity in ambiguous spaces.

Work Arrangement & Location

This is a hybrid role, with at least 3 days a week required from one of our office hubs in San Francisco or Toronto.
