Senior Digital Design Engineer - IC / CMOS
We are partnered with a leading innovator in high-performance mixed-signal semiconductors. The team is looking to hire a Senior Digital Design Engineer to take technical ownership of complex digital work-packages and define architecture strategies in deep-submicron CMOS technologies.
This is a permanent working opportunity based in Paris.
Key responsibilities for this Senior Digital Design Engineer position:
- Lead architectural definitions and micro-architecture specifications for complex digital blocks and SoCs.
- Drive the end-to-end design journey from RTL to Netlist, integrating high-level IPs and various digital components.
- Ensure technical excellence through rigorous LINT, CDC, and RDC checks and the authoring of SDC constraints for logical synthesis.
- Collaborate closely with DFT and Back-End teams to optimize physical implementation for optimal Power, Performance, and Area (PPA).
- Participate in hands-on silicon validation and evaluation of manufactured ICs within the measurement lab.
- Provide technical leadership in design reviews and maintain comprehensive documentation according to QA policies.
Key requirements:
- Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering with extensive experience in Digital IC & SoC design.
- Proven track record of leading technical work-packages, specifically within ARM or RISC-V platforms.
- Deep knowledge of high-speed serial interfaces such as JESD204, Ethernet, or PCIe.
- Strong understanding of mixed-signal environments, including A/D and D/A converters or RF transceivers.
- Expert proficiency in SystemVerilog, VHDL, or Verilog and standard EDA flows (Cadence, Synopsys, or Siemens).
- Highly proficient in automation scripting using Python or TCL.
