Job Overview
The European Investment Bank is seeking an Assistant Office Manager to work at its local office in Budapest, Hungary. This full-time permanent position offers an opportunity to work in an international and multi-cultural environment with relocation support.
Purpose
Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Heads of Office in Budapest and other designated offices. Coordinate local events, assist visiting senior staff, and manage daily office tasks with an emphasis on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Accountabilities
- Office Management: Handle secretarial, administrative, and financial tasks including bookkeeping, vendor coordination, and office supplies management.
- Accounting: Manage accounting aspects, monitor VAT records, and process supplier invoices with supervision.
- General Administration Support: Manage correspondence, organize meetings, travel arrangements, and provide additional administrative assistance.
Qualifications
A secondary level diploma and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience including international banking or finance experience. Proficiency in English and/or French is required, with additional EU language skills (Hungarian is an advantage). Strong computer skills in document management, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PeopleSoft are essential.
