Job Description

The Bioassay Scientist (Method Development) will work with a team of scientists to support method development and transfer in molecular, biochemical, and cell-based assays. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Collaboration on assay method development and transfer
  • Utilizing electronic lab notebooks (ELN and NG9 systems)
  • Automation experience with Hamilton or Assist plus systems is a plus
  • Detailed documentation, data analysis, and presentation of study data
  • Cell culture maintenance, media preparation, and aliquoting
  • Instrument maintenance, scheduling vendor repairs, and inventory management
  • Supporting data integrity for bioproduct analytical data

Additional lab tasks include cleaning biosafety cabinets, maintaining incubator water levels, and restocking reagents and disposables.

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's or Master's in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Pharmacology with at least 2 years of relevant research experience. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, and have hands-on experience with basic biology, molecular, or biochemical techniques and cell culture.

Preferred: Experience in bioassays (cell-based and binding assays), molecular biology techniques, biochemical testing, and familiarity with instrumentation such as ELISA/SPR, FACS, RT-PCR, ddPCR, and Western blot. Familiarity with multiple plate reader technologies is desirable.
