Job Description
The Bioassay Scientist supports cell-based bioassays and binding assays for biological characterization and testing of biopharmaceutical products. Responsibilities include carrying out bioanalytical cell-based assay testing of recombinant protein therapeutics, assisting in the identification and evaluation of new technologies, making detailed observations, analyzing data, interpreting results, and exercising technical discretion in design and execution of experiments. The role involves performing cell culture, maintaining cell lines, routine lab equipment maintenance, and presenting results at internal meetings.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills, excellent oral and written communication, attention to detail, good time management, multi-tasking abilities, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude. They should be capable of learning new techniques, keeping accurate records, following instructions, and complying with company policies.
Basic Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in biology, chemistry, or related field.
- 1-4 years of relevant industry experience in cell-based assays.
- Experience with cell culture and in vitro assays for biological characterization.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Hiring Process & Benefits
A brief phone interview followed by a virtual interview with management. The position is full time, Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm, located in Gaithersburg, MD.
