Job Summary: Bartender
As a Bartender at the Delta Sky Club in Boston, MA, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner. This full-time position requires previous bartending experience and adherence to all liquor regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations regarding serving alcoholic beverages, especially concerning minors and intoxicated guests.
- Set up assigned bar areas, including requisitioning and stocking all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and fresh produce.
- Maintain stock, prepare, cure, and properly store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality and safety.
- Greet guests warmly and courteously, providing excellent customer service.
- Process drink orders efficiently; mix, garnish, and present drinks according to standard ingredient recipes, while practicing prudent portion control.
- Verify guests' identification at the bar to ensure legal drinking age.
- Recognize and appropriately act upon signs of guest inebriation, as per training and liquor laws.
- Operate a cash register, receive payments, make change, verify charge validity, record transactions, and ensure all vouchers are properly executed.
- Securely lock up and store all beverage products, food, equipment items, deposits, and cash drops at the end of the shift.
- Perform general cleaning tasks to maintain health and safety standards, keeping the work area clean and organized.
- Arrange bottles and glasses aesthetically to create an attractive display in the bar area.
- Wash and sterilize stemware and other bar equipment.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Work Schedule & Location
This is a full-time position located at the Delta Sky Club Bos Intnl - 500 Terminal Dr., Boston, MA 02128. The schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Tuesday - Thursday, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Further details will be provided during the interview process.
Compensation & Benefits
The fixed pay rate for this position is $20.86 per hour.
