About the Role
The European Union Delegation to the State of Israel is seeking an Accounts clerk in the Administration Section. This role is part of a fully-fledged diplomatic mission in Tel Aviv and supports the Head of Administration in managing budget execution, financial transactions, and contract processes.
Main Responsibilities
- Follow up budget execution and update relevant files
- Assist in preparing budget estimates and monitoring financial aspects of proposals and tenders
- Register third party and contractor data in business partner databases
- Manage commitments and de-commitments using ABAC/SUMMA
- Process financial transactions and payment files ensuring regulatory compliance
- Support the distribution and filing of payments, including representation costs
- Maintain asset records and manage inventory exercises
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Head of Administration or Head of Delegation
What We Offer
A two-year contract extendable up to seven years with a competitive benefits package. The salary starts from ILS 12,514 with additional perks including personal leave, public holidays, health insurance, and a retirement savings plan.
Minimum Requirements
- Completed second level education
- At least 3 years of experience
- Fluency in Hebrew and English
- Israeli citizenship or valid work permit for Israel
- Proactive team player with strong organizational skills
Assets
- Degree or accounting diploma (1+2 in accountancy)
- Knowledge of an additional European language
- High discretion, responsibility, and attention to detail
- Experience in administrative support and in international settings
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite
