Job Description
Accounts Clerk, Administration Section
The European Union Delegation to the State of Israel is seeking an Accounts Clerk in the Administration Section. This is a two-year contract extendable up to seven years. The appointed candidate will work as support to the Head of Administration and will be involved in various financial and administrative tasks in a diplomatic mission setting.
Main Responsibilities
- Follow-up the execution of the authorized budget and update follow-up files.
- Assist in preparation of budget estimates and monitor financial aspects of proposals and tenders.
- Prepare and update third party and contractor files in the Business Partner database.
- Manage budget commitments and de-commitments using ABAC/SUMMA.
- Execute financial transactions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage expenditures including representation costs and press budget allocations.
- Maintain data in specialized applications and perform local physical inventory exercises.
- Support ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Head of Administration or Head of Delegation.
Requirements
A completed second level education, minimum 1.5 years of relevant experience, fluent in Hebrew and English, and either Israeli citizenship or a valid work permit for Israel are required. An accounting diploma or degree is an advantage, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in administrative support.
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary starts at ILS 12,514 depending on experience, plus a competitive benefits package including personal leave days, public holidays, health insurance, and a retirement savings plan.
