Role Overview

The Product Design Manager Design Systems will lead and nurture a team responsible for evolving and maintaining Etsy's critical design system. This system empowers designers and engineers to create cohesive, high-quality, accessible user experiences that align with Etsy's brand and values.

• Lead design system strategy and adoption.
• Oversee design quality and consistency.
• Champion user-centered design and accessibility.
• Build and mentor a diverse team of designers.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and brand teams.

Key Responsibilities

Vision And Strategy: Partner with Product and Engineering leads to define vision, strategy, and roadmap while translating brand voice into actionable guidelines.

Design Quality And Standards: Uphold high standards in design, lead reviews and ensure cohesive design components.

Team Management And Development: Build, mentor, and grow a team of 5-7 product designers; recruit and onboard top talent.

Process And Collaboration: Establish workflows that enhance cross-functional collaboration and design efficiency.
