What’s the Role?

This role is a key contributor to fraud prevention efforts. As the Investigator Operational Excellence Account Integrity and Security, you will lead projects in quality assurance, conduct enforcement reviews, and analyze fraud data to spot trends. You will handle complex fraud cases and implement process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategy and execution in operational excellence areas such as QA or BPI.
• Lead complex fraud investigations and provide expertise on difficult cases.
• Analyze broad fraud trends and translate insights into process improvements.
• Mentor and upskill team members through training and documentation.
• Represent operational needs during product and policy changes with cross-functional partners.

Team Overview

This role sits within the Account Integrity and Security vertical of Etsy's Risk & Fraud organization. The team focuses on protecting Etsy accounts, preventing takeovers, enforcing policies, and maintaining overall trust and safety in the marketplace.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in fraud operations with a strong track record.
• Experience leading operational excellence initiatives like QA or BPI.
• Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Additional Information

This is a full-time role reporting to the Risk and Fraud Operations Manager. In addition to salary, you will be eligible for an equity package, annual performance bonus, and competitive benefits. Candidates must be based in the United States. Work modes vary as Local Hybrid, Regional Hybrid, or Remote.
