About the role
Manager Aviation Security
To manage and ensure effective implementation and compliance with aviation security investigation processes in accordance with Etihad standards and applicable regulations.
Accountabilities
- Be aware and knowledgeable with all relevant Etihad aviation security policies, standards, and requirements, as well as applicable regulations, as outlined in security programs, manuals, bulletins, directives and other similar documentations.
- Direct the development, maintenance, effective implementation and compliance with aviation security investigation process(es) to ensure: An investigation is conducted for incidents involving aviation security threats, acts of unlawful interference, and failure of implementation of security controls under the responsibility of Etihad Airways or its contracted representative, and Root cause(s) identified, corrective actions(s) determined, and the same are communicated to relevant stakeholders for implementation and monitoring to ensure effectiveness in preventing future incidents.
- Direct and ensure effective performance management and monitoring of aviation security investigation staff, processes, procedures, systems, documents, records, and other resources to ensure implementation and compliance with Etihad requirements and applicable regulations.
- Direct and ensure effective liaison and coordination with relevant stakeholders with regards to aviation security investigation to include, but not limited to: Collection of pertinent documents, records and other information. Interview of relevant staff and other persons. Coordination with law enforcement officers and other authorities. Coordination with other relevant Etihad departments.
- Manage effective delegation of duties to ensure business continuity.
- Perform other related tasks as directed by line manager or delegate.
Qualifications
- University graduate with bachelor degree, preferably security, investigation or management field
- At least 7 years of aviation security management or investigation background
