Role Description

The Facilities Maintenance Manager is a senior leader in the Facilities Management Division. This role directs daily maintenance across a multi-property portfolio, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality building upkeep while supervising maintenance technicians and coordinating with Property Managers, vendors, and senior leadership.

Essential Functions

• Leadership & Team Development: Supervise and mentor maintenance technicians, monitor staffing, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and enforce OSHA standards.
• Work Order Oversight: Review, prioritize, and assign work orders, ensuring fair market billing and project completion.
• Maintenance Operations: Direct general building maintenance including light electrical, plumbing, cleaning, door repairs, and safety inspections.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain code-compliant records, safety reports, work orders, and monitor overtime.
• Cross-Departmental Coordination: Liaise with Property Management, vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless operations.

Technical Requirements & Skills

Proficiency with Yardi, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Paylocity. Must have strong technical knowledge in diagnosing multi-trade repairs and maintaining compliance with safety policies and OSHA requirements.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade school preferred.
• At least 8 years in building maintenance with 5+ years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in commercial real estate or managing multiple sites.
• Valid California Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

OSHA 10/30 certification or equivalent safety training is a plus.
