About the Director of Finance Role

The Director of Finance is responsible for managing all finance/accounting, purchasing and IT operations at Estancia La Jolla. This includes producing periodic financial reports, overseeing accounting systems, recordkeeping, and establishing controls and budgets to mitigate risk and enhance financial accuracy in compliance with GAAP and regulations. The role ensures integrity of critical financial statements and leads periodic audits by external parties.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage finance, accounting, purchasing, and IT operations.
• Supervise and mentor finance team members, ensuring effective performance management.
• Oversee the month-end close, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Prepare annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and financial reports.
• Establish and audit internal controls and compliance with SOPs.
• Review revenue reports and assist department heads with financial data interpretation.
• Ensure timely tax payments, license renewals, and resolve billing-related issues.
