Role Overview
As a Fraud Management Research Analyst/Report Writer within Javelin's Fraud & Security Practice, you will collaborate with a team of accomplished analysts, consultants, and researchers dedicated to identifying, monitoring, and analyzing fraud trends. This role involves producing insightful research, developing strategic recommendations, and offering expert advice to leading financial institutions, payments service providers, fintech providers, government agencies, and other financial services entities.
This is a 100% Remote position, requiring strong independent work habits coupled with effective team collaboration. Adaptability to a non-routine and fast-paced environment is essential.
The annual salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients and prospects based on Javelin’s independent consumer and industry survey data, alongside industry knowledge and expertise.
- Outline and draft comprehensive research reports, impact notes, webinars, and podcasts utilizing quantitative and qualitative data analysis, presented in various formats (e.g., MS Word reports, MS PowerPoint presentations).
- Collaborate with an experienced Fraud and Security team to identify relevant topics, design surveys, and contribute to report development, presentations, and client consultations.
- Analyze and evaluate survey data, industry trends, and consumer usage patterns to deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Respond to specific client queries by mining primary or secondary research data.
- Conduct phone interviews with vendors and financial services executives.
- Gather secondary research pertaining to fraud technologies, vendors, and startups within the financial services sector.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in the financial services industry, with demonstrated knowledge of fraud systems/applications.
- Strong oral and written business communication skills, coupled with comfort in working with numbers and data.
- Proven analytical thinking abilities.
- Experience in writing research reports.
- Superior attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to research integrity.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- Experience working independently.
- Previous consulting or analyst experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strongly desired experience using SPSS.
- Quantitative or qualitative research skills, including proficiency in working with large data sets.
- Experience developing charts from data analysis.
