About the Role

This is where you come in! The role of a Development Engineer is versatile and crucial for ERIKS's success. As a Development Engineer, you carry significant responsibility. When we decide to issue a quote for a project or a customer opportunity, the engineer is responsible from that moment until successful delivery. Your main focus is on quality, and you will work closely with others to ensure timely delivery and profitability. This requires skills, experience, and a specific attitude and mentality.

What You Will Do

The primary focus for a Development Engineer is to quickly become familiar with the product and product development within their assigned product group. You will translate customer needs into high-quality production drawings and spend time in production to determine the best solutions together. You will be on the factory floor during initial production runs to maintain close contact with operators, ensuring that both the product and the production process continuously improve.

It is essential that you are focused and enthusiastic to learn all necessary skills and ensure all existing processes are applied to guarantee high-quality results. As a Development Engineer, you will receive Green Belt Six Sigma training after 6 successful months.

Your Team

You will collaborate with other Development Engineers, as well as Technical Sales Engineers and Document Controllers – all passionate professionals in the Industrial Hoses department. Our team is characterized by open communication, equal treatment, and constructive feedback. At ERIKS, we value input and encourage collaboration. We also embrace humor and regularly organize team outings to strengthen our bonds.

What We Are Looking For

• A completed technical HBO (Bachelor's degree) education, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with engineering (2D, 3D, and CAD).
• Experience with (orbital) welding is a plus.
• You are eager to learn and pragmatic, with an open attitude to both receive and give feedback for optimal mutual learning and improved collaboration. Even if you don't perfectly match the profile, but are convinced your skills and experience are a good fit, you are warmly invited to apply.
