Job Description
About this opportunity:
We are seeking a pragmatic, analytically minded software engineer to build advanced decision-support applications on a leading enterprise analytics platform. You will focus on the scripting, integration and architecture layers that make interactive analytics possible. You will bridge complex backend logic and interactive frontends, extending the analytics platform with custom code and microservices to deliver actionable, production-grade experiences for end users.
What you will do:
- Design and implement robust business logic and automation using Python — both as scripts inside the analytics platform and in supporting microservices.
- Develop custom frontend components and integrate them into the analytics interface using Angular and modern web technologies (HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Engineer the communication layer between the HTML frontend and the application’s internal state (Document Properties), enabling advanced interactivity beyond standard visualizations.
- Master and extend the analytics platform API to automate workflows and create bespoke functionality tailored to business needs.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, data stakeholders and suppliers to translate complex business problems into structured data workflows and software features.
- Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and platform automation to ensure reliable, maintainable production deployments.
- Work within a small scrum team to deliver, maintain and evolve dashboards and interactive interfaces used directly by customers.
The skills you bring:
- Strong command of Python for scripting, automation, data manipulation and service-side logic.
- Practical experience with Angular and core web technologies: HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript.
- An analytical mindset: ability to understand abstract business problems and translate them into logical, data-driven solutions.
- Comfortable working within a specialized analytics platform and extending its capabilities via code rather than only configuration.
- Solid working knowledge of Linux.
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency using AI tools (for development assistance, automation, or analytics workflows).
- A determined, solution-oriented attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
- Strong communication skills in English and readiness to engage with international suppliers and stakeholders.
- Openness to new challenges and continuous learning.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Previous exposure to data visualization libraries or concepts (for example D3, Plotly, Highcharts).
- Experience with .NET-integrated Python environments (e.g., IronPython) or working knowledge of .NET interoperability.
- Practical experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with tools and workflows such as JIRA, Git/Gerrit and AWS (or similar cloud platforms).
- Prior experience building integrations between frontend state and backend analytics document models.
Key skills/competency:
- Python scripting
- Angular development
- Data manipulation
- Microservices architecture
- CI/CD pipelines
- Cloud-native technologies
- Linux administration
- AI tool proficiency
- Analytical problem-solving
- Agile/Scrum methodologies
