MINI-LINK, a renowned trademark of Ericsson’s microwave transport solution, boasts over 5 million units sold. It's a scalable, flexible, modular, and robust microwave transmission system primarily used in mobile networks, supporting both TDM and Ethernet traffic.

Ericsson Hungary R&D's Microwave Unit is actively seeking an AI/Data Engineer to join their team. The focus is on building an advanced AI platform designed to empower teams across Microwave (~400 people) to seamlessly develop, deploy, and operate AI applications within their daily work. The core objective is to eliminate friction, reduce entry barriers, and provide accessible AI capabilities at scale.

What You Will Do

• Develop and operate the compute and data infrastructure, internal AI application platforms, and integration layers (such as APIs) crucial for this initiative.
• Collaborate closely with experts across infrastructure, data, and AI domains to design effective solutions and guarantee the platform meets practical, real-world demands.
• Assist engineers, developers, and domain experts throughout Microwave to enhance efficiency, boost productivity, and integrate AI capabilities into their everyday workflows, while ensuring the platform manages scalability, reliability, and operational complexities.
• Transform AI from isolated experiments into impactful capabilities that deliver measurable organizational benefits.

The Skills You Bring

• A solid software engineering background.
• Hands-on experience in Linux-based environments.
• A strong DevOps mindset, emphasizing automation, reliability, and scalable platform engineering.
• Experience with, or a strong interest in learning, the following or comparable competencies: Python, Linux, Kubernetes, AWS, Helm, DevOps practices, containerization technologies, API development and integration, AI Platforms (e.g., Amazon Bedrock, Flowise, Dify), AI Agent Frameworks (e.g., LangChain), Data Engineering, and Databases.
• An ability to tackle complex and challenging problems effectively.
• A willingness to step outside your comfort zone by engaging with new people.
• Service-mindedness and excellent communication skills in English.
• A passion for continuous learning and exploration.
