Solution Architect at Ergo IT Recruitment Services

This Solution Architect (Intermediate) position with Ergo IT Recruitment Services is a contract role (12 months with possible 6-month extension) located in Dublin 1, Ireland. This hybrid role requires a minimum of 50% on-site attendance, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. The role is focused on Solution Architecture.

Overview of the Role

The Solution Architect will lead solution design activities, collaborating closely with IT project managers, the wider project delivery team, and various partners. This role is crucial for developing technical solutions that align with architectural strategies, ensuring strict compliance with security and quality standards, and ultimately delivering significant business value through robust solution design and effective governance.

Role & Responsibilities

• Take the lead architect role or work alongside other solution architects across various solution types, including procurement and software development.
• Lead comprehensive solution design activities to shape viable solution options and influence key decisions throughout projects.
• Develop detailed solution designs and comprehensive documentation, ensuring alignment with architectural visions, strategies, and established governance frameworks.
• Conduct thorough due diligence to identify preferred solutions, adhering strictly to organisational standards for security, technology, and service delivery.
• Support the precise definition and prioritisation of both functional and non-functional requirements in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with fellow architects, IT delivery teams, and external partners to ensure seamless alignment of solution design and efficient delivery.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers to accurately estimate work effort, define critical tasks, and proactively manage project risk logs.
• Provide expert oversight and guidance under the direct supervision of IT project managers and the solution architecture line manager.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• Possess 4-6 years of extensive experience specifically as a Solution Architect.
• Demonstrated ability to design and successfully deliver end-to-end technical solutions spanning database, back-end, integration, and user experience (UX) layers.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal, communication, and senior stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven experience with industry-standard architecture modelling tools and frameworks such as EA Sparx, Archimate, and C4.
• Experience in designing cloud-native or hybrid cloud solutions, with a preference for candidates having exposure to cloud migration projects.

Experience

• High proficiency in the Microsoft technology stack, including .Net, C#, MS SQL Server, MS Dynamics 365, MS Azure Platform, and MS Power Platform.
• Capable of producing accurate, concise, and fully compliant solution designs that are subject to architectural governance.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture methodologies and best practices in solution governance and quality assurance.

Education & Certifications

• A Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or an equivalent qualification is required.
• High proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is essential.

• Applicants must be an Irish/EU Citizen or hold a Stamp 4 Visa.
