About the Role
The Actuarial Quantitative Analyst at Equitable joins the Actuarial Hedging team to drive liability valuation, develop hedge models, and support financial risk management. This role involves leading GMxB annuity liability valuation and reporting, along with designing and testing hedge strategies using both standard and exotic capital market instruments.
Responsibilities
- Lead actuarial hedging and liability valuation using specialized software.
- Drive continuous process and tool improvements.
- Monitor P&L attribution, performance measurement, and hedge effectiveness.
- Assist in designing, developing, and testing hedge strategies and models.
- Prepare documentation for analysis, reporting, and audits.
- Collaborate with various functional teams and external auditors.
Qualifications & Skills
Required: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Physics. Preferred: Master’s degree, FSA designation, coding experience (C/C++, Python, MATLAB), and insurance industry exposure.

Work Environment
This role follows an in-office schedule 2 to 3 days per week and supports a collaborative environment at Equitable.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary ranges from $100,000 to $140,000 with additional performance-based incentives and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
