Job Overview

The Lead Data Test Engineer will liaise with technology partners to implement data warehouse projects, perform data validations across data sources, and lead a team of test engineers. The role involves implementing data quality checks, validating rules across various database systems including RDBMS, NoSQL, and flat files, and ensuring seamless integration testing between databases such as SQL Server, Redshift, and POSTGRES.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with technology partners for Data warehouse projects.
  • Implement data quality checks and alert mechanisms.
  • Conduct data flow and integration testing across multiple databases.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 5-6 test engineers.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
  • Engage in web and mobile app testing alongside the team.
  • Research and adopt new database related technologies.
  • Track and report testing progress, quality metrics, and defect trends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data testing and team leadership.
  • Advanced expertise in SQL Server/Redshift and strong SQL skills.
  • Hands-on experience with POSTGRES sql and Python.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes, schedulers, and integration tools.
  • Experience with agile development and mobile app testing.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and analytical skills.
