About the Role: DPO & Compliance Manager at Equifax Ibérica
As a key player in one of the world's largest data and technology companies, the DPO & Compliance Manager for Equifax Ibérica is responsible for ensuring that our data infrastructure and automated decision-making processes operate with total transparency and security. This role navigates the intersection between technological innovation and strict compliance with financial and privacy regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Large-Scale Data Processing: Supervise GDPR compliance in credit information systems and scoring models.
- Impact Assessments (EIPD): Lead complex assessments on the use of algorithms and automated processes to ensure they do not generate biases or violate rights.
- Data Governance: Collaborate with IT and Product teams on implementing security measures by design for cross-border data flow.
- Solvency and Assets: Ensure alignment with LOPDGDD regarding credit information systems (default files).
- Anti-Money Laundering (AML): Supervise KYC (Know Your Customer) protocols and regulatory compliance in financial services.
- Institutional Relations: Act as an expert interlocutor with the AEPD and other financial sector regulatory bodies in Spain and Portugal.
- Third-Party Management: Evaluate the compliance of data providers and technology partners.
- Ethical Channel Monitoring: Manage internal investigations and ensure that Equifax's global Code of Conduct is applied with local particularities for Iberia.
Required Skills & Experience
- Sector Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience, preferably in Financial Institutions, Fintech, Bureaus with a focus on the Credit sector, or
